With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James E. Witt of Bartonville, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on December 9, 2023 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James E. Witt to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Witt and Margaret E. Von Hollenbeck Witt. He is survived by: his wife Joyce L. Hines; his children, Stacy Witt of Bartonville and Brandon Witt (Suzy) of Bartonville; his grandchildren, Maggie and Colby; his sisters, Shirley Rinehart (Roy Gene) of Lincoln, AR and Mary Street (Donnie) of Bartonville; and his siblings-in-law, Norman Hines (late Linda) of Kensington, MD and Margaret Stinson (James) of Mt. Airy, MD.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in his name may be given to any CEFCU location, FBO "The Grandchildren of James E. Witt," or to the Limestone Township Fire Protection District. The Witt family wishes to thank those who donated in Jim's honor.
