He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Melvin and Violet Joan Closen (Heslin); his son Ryan Closen; and his siblings, Frank Closen, David "Buzz" Closen, Catherine Wissel (Sue), Nicholas and Joseph Closen.
He is survived by: his siblings, John Closen (Barb) of Peoria, Jerry Closen of Pekin and Mary Seeyle (Wayne) of Pekin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
