He is survived by: his spouse Saroj Patel; his children, Yera Vinu Patel (Divyesh), Yama Shah (Santosh "Steve") and Rishi Patel (Monal); his grandchildren, Om Patel, Veda Patel, Ayan Shah, Jaiden Shah, Krish Patel and Riaan Patel; and his siblings, Dahyabhai Patel and Jagdishbhai Patel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
