“Soumya, our hearts are completely broken for your loss. We are deeply grateful to have known Pradeep and blessed to have your family in our lives. We will always remember Pradeep for his constant smile, kindness, humility, wonderful sense of humor, and ability to master whatever he set out to do. He brightened our lives from the very first moment we met while "tearing down the wall" in the yard, and we will cherish fond memories of times we shared together. We wish your family comfort, peace, love and strength.”

“I'm absolutely devastated. There's not too many people that come into one's life that have such a profound impact on who you are as a person. Pradeep was one of those people. He made you comfortable and he lit up a room. He was trusting, smart, and humble in equal measure. My wish is that we all can have such a positive impact on others as he had on us. I am a better person for having Pradeep in my life. I will miss you dearly, my friend.”

“Pradeep, I often think about how my life jumpstarted with a call from you. I was in a tough spot before then, without solid direction. I had just finished the UX course you taught at DePaul, and that was the most encouraging experience I had in my entire university career. I remember your positive feedback and encouragement - I felt for the first time that I wasn't an imposter. When you called me to extend my first job offer, I was so nervous. But you laughed, joked, talked about your family and kids, how you looked forward to working with me. You knew I was nervous, and put me instantly at ease. I often think of that day as the day my real life began, when you and Erik gave me a chance. I wonder where I would be without that day, without all the time we spent together as a team, the friendships you inspired, the laugh-out- lunches and outings we had. I miss you. I'll always remember how you called me, and gave a small person the start and mentorship she needed to feel like she had a foothold in this world.”

“I am deeply saddened at the loss of Pradeep and have been reflecting on the significant impact he’s had on my life as well as the design community. I met him when I had just started out in design and reached out to him about his experience at AllState. Though a 15 minute conversation may seem small, his kindness changed the course of my life and career. Under his leadership, I quickly learned that this is just the kind of person he was: supportive and compassionate. In a moment I was especially struggling, he wrote me a card to encourage me to stay resilient in the face of challenges. This was one of many moments his empathetic and thoughtful leadership shone through. In the face of obstacles today, I still keep his encouragement in my heart. I will always aspire to be a leader like him and know that I am only one of many. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Though Pradeep is no longer here, he will live on through all those he inspired.”
