He was predeceased by: his wife Irene; and his siblings, Stefan (late Renate), Emil (late Agnes) and Ursula Swierzy (late Frank). He is survived by: his children, Bert Mandrek and Anita Lagergren; and his grandchildren, Lauren and Evan Mandrek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
