He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ralph Koopmann, Bertha Carver (Melvin "Babe") and Bernie Koopmann; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Varel and Charlotte Timmermann.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Albers (Butch) of Bartelso, Lori Toennies (Jason) of Damiansville, Deanna Tebbe (Corey) of Bartelso, Tammy Koopmann and Ashley Koopmann; his grandchildren, Nicole, Katlyn, Carley Albers (Elijah Isaak), Lily, Henry, Cece Toennies, Kooper, Grady, Ashlyn and Mason Tebbe; his siblings, Leonard Koopmann (Betty) of Bartelso, Rita Deiters (Joe) of Beckemeyer, Mary Grawe (Jerry) of Bartelso, Betty Varel of Bartelso and Albert "Hipper" Koopmann of Bartelso; and his siblings-in-law, Bernadine Koopmann of Damiansville, Phyllis Koopmann of Breese, Pat Becker (Richard) of Bartelso, Clete Timmermann of Beckemeyer, Joe Timmermann (Joan) of Carlyle and Bert Horstmann (Steve) of Damiansville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Cecilia Catholic Church and will be received at the funeral home.
