He is survived by: his wife Margaret M. "Margie"; his children, Mark Wilken of Bartelso, Floyd Wilken (Kelly) of Bartelso, Keith Wilken (Julie) of Bartelso and Kelly Harre (Scott) of Bartelso; his grandchildren, Taylor Thomas (Gavin), Kendra Mueller (Dylan), Brendan Wilken (Chloe), Brock Wilken, Olyvia Wilken (Danny Metzger), Alyse Wilken (Clayton Dannaman), Bryce Harre (Breanne Jansen), Ashtyn Harre and Reece Harre; his great grandchildren, Hadlyn, Grace Thomas, Blair Mueller and Archer Wilken; his siblings, Jack Wilken (Cleo) of Bartelso, Ruth Ann "Tootsie" Hoh (Leroy) of Bartelso, Carol Menkhaus (Phil) of Bartelso, Kathy Frerker (Don) of Bartelso, Jerry Wilken (Kathy) of St. Louis and Joe Wilken of Aviston; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Varel (Joann) of Bartelso, Blanche Goebel of Breese, Flossie Schlautman (Frank) of Bartelso, Joan Varel of Bartelso and Betty Varel of Bartelso. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church (304 S Washington St, Bartelso, IL 62218).
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to Bartelso Community Development Club/62218 or Murray Parent Association and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, PO Box 117, Germantown, IL 62245, who is serving the family.
