She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Pettypool and Lillie Douglas Pettypool; her husband Ronald L. Stanton; her daughter Sandra Phillips; her grandchildren, Sara Phillips and Kyle Harmon; her son-in-law Jack Brown; her siblings, Edward Pettypool, Lillian Gulledge, Loreen Hayes and Norma Dabbs; her half-siblings, Wayne Pettypool, Emerson Pettypool, Melvin Pettypool and Jewel Davis; and her grandson-in-law Brent Riley.
She is survived by: her children, William Petty, Jr. (Donna) of Caseyville, IL, Tim Stanton of Alton, IL, Barbara Brown of Barry, IL, Ronda Harmon (Steve) of Godfrey, IL and Phyllis Weeks (Jim) of Godfrey, IL; her grandchildren, David Wells, Danny Wells, William Petty, Brian Petty, Stacy Petty, Sandy Fee, Kathy Riley, Marie Woods, Tommy Harmon and Grace Stanton; her brother Herbert Pettypool of Little Rock, AR; and her close friend Sandra Marsh. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
