He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Newman and Barbara Newman (Brotherton); his in-laws, Bethel Hinch and Frances Dewees; his sister Patty Pittman; his nephews, Joshua Hazelrigg and Joey Pittman; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Hinch, Gary Hinch and Rosie Hinch.
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Newman of Barry, IL; his children, Eric "Alpo" Newman (Staci) of Thornton, CO and Angela Stahl (Kent) of Camp Point, IL; his grandchildren, Kendra Goodwin (Zach), Rachel Gillespie (Christian), Blake Stahl, Emily Newman and Josh Newman (Sam); his great grandchildren, Keenan Goodwin, Knoxleigh Goodwin, Averie Gillespie, Finley Gillespie and Carson Newman; his brothers, Steve Newman (Beverly) of Barry, IL and Gary Newman (Shirley) of Lakeland, FL; and his siblings-in-law, Janet Treadwell, Fidella Hinch, Judy Hinch and Roger Hinch. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Niebur Funeral Chapel (629 Mortimer St, Barry, IL 62312). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
