It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary E. Beard of Barry, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on January 11, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Fox and Bertha Padgett Fox; her husband Johnnie Beard; her grandchildren, Nate Peters, Christina and Dinisha Peters; her siblings, Bertha Mae Miller and Taylor Fox; and her siblings-in-law, Ed, Florine Beard and Ronald Rumple.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vicki Chin (Willis) of Mexico, MO, Janis Hild (Jim) of Illiopolis, IL and Lisa Welch (Mark) of Barry, IL; her grandchildren, Christopher Ruppel, Shonn Hild (Christy), Jay Hild (Nicole), Adam Hild (Madeline), Phillip Welch (Heidi) and Emily Barnett (Jonathan); and her siblings, Doug Fox (Sharon) of Pittsfield, IL and Peggy Rumple of Ivesdale, IL. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Barry Community Care Center Activity Fund.
