It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freda M. Akers of Barry, Illinois, born in New Canton, Illinois, who passed away on December 25, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Leslie" Dixon and Flora Belle Weeks Dixon; her husband Ronald "Ronnie" Akers; and her siblings, Katherine Williams, Raymond Dixon, Truman Dixon, Freeman Dixon, Evelyn Clinging and Charlotte Seyl.
She is survived by: her children, Randall "Randy" Coultas (Melissa) of Barry and Bonna Gratton (Tony) of Barry; her grandchildren, Chris Coultas, Shelly Moyer (Dean) and Scott Garrett (Julie); her great grandchildren, Jeremy, Devin, Ronnie, Dayleigh, Reagan, Josie, Tya, Kenzie, Belle, Brooke, Brantley and Raylan; and her brother-in-law Ray Seyl. She is also survived by seven great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
