Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Richard Averill of Barrington, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 85, on September 27, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Averill and Helen Averill; and his sister Mary Helen Francis (Marilou). He is survived by: his wife Carol Zamow Averill; his children, Chris Averill (Karen) of Bartlett, Sally Haufschild (Jim) of Barrington, Peggy Largent (John) of New Albany, Peter Averill (Gayle) of Newark, Suzanne Averill (Alan Nadolna) of Wilmette and David Averill (Kelly) of Seattle, Washington; and his cousin Barbara Thompson of Grand Rapids, Michigan.. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren.
