Schmeling of Barrington, Illinois, born in Rockford, Illinois, who passed away on January 4, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husbands, Al Smith and Roger Schmeling; her siblings, Edward Fox and Barbara Steimle; and her parents, Helen Fox and Edward Fox.
She is survived by: her children, Mark (Heather), Patty, Michael (Barb), Christopher (Laurie) and Adam; her grandchildren, Caroline (Mikael), Emily, Collin, Bennett, Harrison, Ethan and Finn; and her great grandchild Karl.
