He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Mary Dewes (Sweeney); and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his sister Jean Allendorfer; his nieces, Mary Jo Ward, Linda Ward-Demma and Kathy Fetsch; his great-nieces, Rebecca and Isabella; and his close friends, Julie, Jean and Jane Nolan.
