He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lyons and Mary Lyons (Donohoe); and his siblings, Susan Winckler (Lyons), Patrick Lyons and Dr. Eugene Lyons.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Tabak (David) of Barrington, IL and John Lyons (Meghan) of San Francisco, CA; his grandson Joe Tabak (Jamie) of Chicago, IL.; and his brothers, John Lyons of Yankton, SD, Thomas Lyons of San Antonio, TX and Robert Lyons of LaGrange, IL..
