He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Theresa Betz; his parents, Karl Jakob and Juliane Betz; and his siblings, William Betz and Gerda Hackemann.
He is survived by: his children, Julia Lincoln (Dennis), Christine Masonick Urban (Roger), Marcia Hovorka (Jeffrey) and Mark Betz (Christine); his grandchildren, Stephanie Davidson (Vernon), Matthew Lincoln, Christopher Lincoln, Emily Miller (Christopher), Heidi Howerton (Michael), Nicholas Hovorka, Eric Betz, Alexander Hovorka (Renee), Jacob Betz (Taylor), Nathan Hovorka and Lauren Betz; and his great grandchildren, Isabella, Franklin, Elizabeth Jane, Hannah, Connor, James, Gideon, Caroline, Abigail and Natalie. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
