He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick McCarthy and Nora McCarthy; his wife Mary Helen; his brothers, James and Patrick (Florence); and his brother-in-law Walter Edens.
He is survived by: his children, Colleen Stevanovich (Mick) of Barrington, Brian McCarthy of Barrington and Kathleen Suda (Mark) of Naperville; his grandchildren, Molly, Maggie and Riley; his sister Noreen Edens; his sisters-in-law, Marguerite McCarthy and Patricia Hagen (Donald); and his close friend Fiona. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
