It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley L Wright of Avon, Illinois, who passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Shirley shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Shirley farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Bernhart and Dora Bernhart; her brother George Bernhart (Sonny); and her granddaughter Amanda Wright. She is survived by: her husband Robert J. Wright, Sr.; her children, Robert Wright, Jr. (Susan) of Oquawka, Randy Wright of Avon, Rhonda Jones of Monmouth and Rodney Wright (Elaine) of Weston, Missouri; and her sister Sharon Bearce (Keith) of Abingdon, Illinois. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar Moore Memorial (108 E Washington St, Avon, IL 61415).
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital and left in the care of the funeral home.
