We are sad to announce that on May 6, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Marjorie Sloan (Avon, Illinois), born in Dillwyn, Virginia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Moss and Emma Moss (Murphy); her husband Jack Bryant; her son Raymond Bryant; and her siblings, Franklin Moss and Mary Duty.

She is survived by: her children, Venece Sutton (Nick) of Buckingham, VA., Joan Ray (Chance) of Abingdon, Tim Bryant (Theresa) of Dillwyn, VA. and Theresa Layman (P. B.) of Dillwyn, VA.; her sisters, Frances Spain of Rockville, VA., Ann McKay (Bernard) of Richmond, VA. and Edna Davis (Harry) of Scottsville, VA; and her close friend Pansy Sloan. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren, and 2 special grandchildren.

Due to social distancing limitations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be private local arrangements.

Burial will be in the Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Dillwyn, VA. in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Avon United Methodist Church.
