With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marjorie G Markley of Avon, Illinois, who passed away on June 20, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross Gillett and Reta Gillett (Thurman); her husband Frank J. Markley; her sons, Michael and Dennis; and her foster sons, Terry and Jim Anderson.
She is survived by: her sister Janet McGirl of Sanibel Island, FL; her children, Roger Markley (Laura) of Alexis, IL, Joyce Roberts of Avon, Debbie Widener (Robert) of Peyton, CO, Janice Murphy of Burlington, IA and Heather Markley (Casey McCabe) of Avon; and her foster son Fred Anderson (Teen) of Avon. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the OSF Hospice Group and left in the care of the funeral home.
