It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen L Douglass of Avon, Illinois, who passed away on December 29, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everette Carpenter and Alice Carpenter (Johnson); and her brother Charles Carpenter. She is survived by: her husband Hollister Douglass of Avon; her children, Kirk Douglass of Moline and Carolyn Zinck (Dan) of Canton; her stepson Keith Douglass (Jody) of East Galesburg, Illinois; her grandchildren, Amanda Douglass, Gina Martin (Adam), Renee Westbay (Mitchell), Alyson Zinck and Anastasia Zinck; and her great grandchildren, Eastyn Westbay, Alera Martin, Silvie Martin, Landree Martin and Quaid Martin.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Calendar Moore Memorial (108 E Washington St, Avon, IL 61415). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Avon Federated Church (206 S Main St, Avon, IL 61415).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Avon Federated Church and left in the care of the funeral home.
