She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Berger and Margaret Berger; her brothers, Charles Berger, Richard "Dick" Berger and James Berger; and her brother-in-law Sam Simpson.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald J. Ratermann; her children, Jason Ratermann, Wendy Messick (Ben), Amanda Middendorff (Chad) and PJ Ratermann (Jazel); her siblings, Barb Simpson and Harry Berger (Ann); and her siblings-in-law, Dennis, Donna Ratermann, Jeanette Wellen, Robert "Rob" and Cindy Ratermann, Jr..
Memorials may be made in memory of Sarah to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice and will be received at the church or funeral home.
