It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marita Bertille Strubhart of Aviston, Illinois, born in Red Bud, Illinois, who passed away on September 24, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Leo; her husband Nicholas Strubhart; her granddaughter Jenny Boshera; her brother Paul Orlet; her parents-in-law, Nicholas and Margaret Strubhart; and her siblings-in-law, Charles, Margaret Strubhart, James, Marilyn Strubhart, Paul, Marcella Strubhart, Xavier "Sam", Dolores Strubhart, Thomas, Erlene Strubhart, Martha, Ceaser Altgilbers, Marie Virginia Strubhart, Tony Salemi, Francis Frey and Gerald Schoenherr.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Ratermann (Mike), Joe Strubhart (Cari), Jim Strubhart (Vonnie), Jerry Strubhart (Sandy) and Jeff Strubhart (Liz); her grandchildren, Heather Ratermann, Matt Strubhart (Shannon), Adam Strubhart (Anna), Amber Strubhart, Jordan Strubhart, Hunter Strubhart, Jacob Strubhart, Luke Strubhart, Melissa Reese (Kenny) and Brandon Mills; her great grandchildren, Brynlee, Ledah Boshera, Raylan Mitchell, Tristen Ratermann, Caleb, Haley, Brooklyn Strubhart, Weston, Wyatt Strubhart, Brady Bagwell, Rylan and Adleigh Mills; her siblings, Henry Orlet (Phyllis) and JoAnn Schoenherr; and her sisters-in-law, Gertrude Frey and Betty Lou Salemi.
Memorials may be made to St. Francis Parish and will be received at the church or Nordike Funeral Home, 150 N. Clinton St., Breese, IL 62230 who is serving the family.
