Judith Ann Markus Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 15, 2024, at the age of 80, Judith Ann Markus of Aviston, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kapp and Alvera Kapp; her brothers, Jerry Kapp, Bobby Kapp and Lawrence Joseph Kapp; her parents-in-law, Hubert and Rose Markus; and her brothers-in-law, Dave Coyne and Jerome Markus.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Markus of Aviston; her sons, Dale Markus of Aviston, Jeff Markus of Cincinnati, OH, Mark Markus (Jackie) of Dublin, OH and Brian Markus (Tiffany) of Chesterfield, MO; her grandchildren, Lindsey Floyd (Shane), Jacob Markus, Bryce, Taylor and Mason Markus; her great grandchildren, Gemma and Harper Floyd; her siblings, Sharon Coyne of Kankakee, Duane Kapp (Gail) of Grand Ridge, John Kapp, Jr. of Highland and Danny Kapp of Highland; and her siblings-in-law, Cathy Markus of Aviston, Mary Huels (Alvin) of Carlyle, Dennis Markus (Carol) of Aviston and Jim Markus (Ruth) of Aviston. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (251 S Clinton St, Aviston, IL 62216).
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to St. Francis Parish and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 535 N. 5th St. Breese, IL 62230, who is serving the family.
