Vickie L. McBride Obituary
We bid farewell to Vickie L. McBride of Ava, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 1, 2025 at the age of 77. Vickie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leland "Smitty" Smith and Zella Smith (Wilson); her daughter Sheila Baker; her sisters, Sandy Swalls and Juanita "Duggie" Burris; her son-in-law Scott Barnett; and her in-laws, Cliff and June McBride.
She is survived by: her husband Ray; her children, Sherri Barnett and Michael McBride (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Kyle Baker, Karlie Lewis (Coltin), Skyler Daleccio (Ryan), Kolten McBride (Bria) and Kaiden McBride; her great grandchildren, Lynzie Baker and Knox Lewis; her son-in-law Steve Sathoff; her siblings, Pepper Herron, Tom Smith (Sue) and Zella Kuhnert (Jim); and her in-laws, Dale McBride (Brenda), Gabby McBride (Mitzie), Bruce McBride and Carol Davis (Jim). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and a large collection of friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wilson's Funeral Home (206 S 5th St, Ava, IL 62907). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and can be mailed to Wilson's Funeral Home, P.O. Box 277, Ava, IL 62907.
