He was predeceased by: his father Walter "Bud" Chitwood; and his grandson Bradley Chitwood. He is survived by: his mother JoAnn Williamson (Rider); his wife Elizabeth Chitwood; his children, Tammy Bohn and Thomas Chitwood, Jr.; his siblings, Bobby Chitwood, Carolina Murphy and Anita Drury; his grandchildren, Cortney, Trevor, Cody, Maddie and Abby; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt and Oaklynn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
