He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Bower and Gladys Bower (Talbott); and his siblings, John, Glenn, Minnie Huffman, Mary Juliett Rader and Emma Lois Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Bower of Ava, IL; his children, Matthew Bower (Katrina) of Waterloo, WI and Erica Stallings (Seth) of Effingham, IL; his grandchildren, Garridan and Maddox Stallings; and his sisters, Carolyn Rogers and Vivian Franklin of Perryville, MO..
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilson's Funeral Home (206 S 5th St, Ava, IL 62907). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery (601 Church St, Campbell Hill, IL 62916).
