He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Gale and Mamie Gale (Butler). He is survived by: his son Albert Gale (Julie) of Murphysboro; his grandchildren, Ashley Gale (Greg) and Erin Camfield (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Keatton Edwards, Jack, Emma Camfield and Brock Rowald; and his sister Geraldine Dillow of Murphysboro.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
