He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Sims and Erlene Sims (Munn); his in-laws, Bill and Ruby Dameron; his brother Jerry Sims; his brother-in-law Bill Dameron; and his cousin Tom Nisbet.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sims; his daughters, Melissa Spiller (Tom) and Amy Triplett (Todd); his grandchildren, Taylor Fondaw (Bradley) and Dalton Spiller (Amy); his great grandchild Lindsey Fondaw; his brother Douglas Sims; and his siblings-in-law, Gary Dameron (Judi) and Patti Dameron.
