He was predeceased by: his sister Mary "Mimi" Ryan; and his former wife Lillian Scanlon (Butterfield). He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Scanlon (Solfisburg); his children, Bill Scanlon (Elaine), Sean Scanlon (Lisa), Suzanne Scanlon (Joe Bass), Jennifer Davenport, Erin Scanlon, Andrea Esquibel Hensley (Dustin) and Colleen Lorenz (Mike); his grandchildren, Lillian, Caroline and Will Scanlon; his children, Nicholas, Sophie Scanlon, Lorenzo Borzutzky, Henry, Owen, Charles Davenport, Andrew Burgos, Timothy, Benjamin Esquibel, Cormac Oleskey, Blake and Grayson Lorenz; and his parents, Helen Byrne and William Aloysius Scanlon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and other family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Healy Chapel (370 Division Dr, Sugar Grove, IL 60554). A prayer will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Thomas (1500 Brookdale Rd, Naperville, IL 60563).
