He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lee Robb-Smith and William E. "Bill" Carter; his sons, Urjah and Elijah Carter; his siblings, Dinah Waller, Sharon Robb, LaDonna Carter, Charlie and Timothy Robb; and his nephews, Rodrick Robb and Jeffery Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Carter; his siblings, Brenda Robb, Bonita Hill, Lisa Turner (Joe), Kimberly Moore, Karla Shackelford, William Robb (Yolanda), Jeffrey Robb, Bruce Carter and Keith Carter; his aunt Gertrude Franklin; his stepfather Keith Smith; his nieces and nephews, Jarque, DeVontae, Joe, Delrick, Fadil, Anthony, Tony, Aaron, Arvam, Kelvin, Delvin, Brooks, Charles, Cedejaha, Jocelyn, Kenadie, Ava and Jade; his great-nephew Taeden; his parents-in-law, Daniel and Leslie Goedken; and his brothers-in-law, Marcus Goedken (Amy) and Jacob Goedken (Brittany). He is also survived by cousins and friends.
