It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Eugene Lody (Aurora, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on August 24, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Lodygowski and Anna Lodygowski; his siblings, Eugene Lodygowski, Edwin Lodygowski, Dorothy Leonard and Barbara Zielinski; and his grandson Tyson Lody-Niles.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Lody; his children, Gene Lody (Kari) of Aurora, Krista Mason (Brian) of Incline Village, NV and Cheryl Wiencek (Tom) of Aurora; and his grandchildren, Mitchell Lody, Cory Lody (Leah), Brailyn Rhodes (Andrew Miles) and Rylan Lody-Niles. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces and many special friends.
He had a trophy collection of over 140 trophies, and when he finally realized how much time Beverly wasted dusting all those trophies over the years, he donated the entire collection to the Children's.
