We are sad to announce that on December 16, 2024, at the age of 75, Robert E. Nelson of Aurora, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Robert may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary; his children, Stacie Rodts (Luke), Robert C. Nelson and Joy Nelson Hojnacki; his grandchildren, Jordyn, Katelyn Hojnacki, Bianca and Charlotte Rodts; and his siblings, Raymond Nelson (Jan) and Jean Nelson.
A reception will be held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Knollcrest Funeral Home (1500 S Meyers Rd, Lombard, IL 60148).
