He is survived by: his mother Martha Shavers (O'Hara); his wife Elizabeth "Lisa" Shavers; his children, Marissa Salinas, Cayla Darrow, Paul, Nicholas and Joshua Shavers; his siblings, Willie Shavers (Maria), Thor Shavers, Jake Shavers and Elizabeth Shavers; his mother-in-law Ofelia Velazquez "Mama O"; his in-laws, Monica Collins (Earl), Veronica Ramos (Lorenzo), Luis A. Velazquez (Maria), Vaness Velazquez (Diego Rios) and Alex Velazquez; and his close friend Mark Walter (Karen). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews as well as many in laws and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fox Valley Christian Church (40W480 Main St, Batavia, IL 60510). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
