He was predeceased by: his mother Linda Lyng. He is survived by: his wife Emmie Lyng; his daughters, Mia and Kylie Lyng; his father Michael P. Lyng Sr.; his siblings, David Lyng, George Parikh, Jason Parikh, Robert Newburg, Nicole Lyng, Elissa Parikh, Roxie Parikh and Justine Newburg; his nieces and nephews, Kayla, Ethan, Luke, Carly and Carter; and his godparents, Sharon Posen and Bob Buckwinkler.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Emmie Lyng to establish an education account for his children.
