She was predeceased by: her husband James N. Scheets; her parents, Clara Shales and Raymond Shales; her sister Audrey Wilson; and her great grandchildren, Jocelyn and Sophie Engberg.
She is survived by: her daughters, Margie Engberg (Gary) of Oswego, Joy Tierney (Michael) of Aurora, Jill Schutz (Leonard) of Bloomingdale and Joanie Scheets-Britton (Dan) of Aurora; and her grandchildren, Brian Engberg, Laurie Ross, Kevin Tierney, Karen Chorvat, Kristin Overton, Jason Engberg, Jen Estes and Kenny Schutz. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Healy Chapel (332 W Downer Pl, Aurora, IL 60506). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
