He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Walter and Esther Walter (Dierschow). He is survived by: his wife Carol Walter (Jacobsen); his children, Elizabeth Walter of North Carolina and John Walter (Kim) of Kentucky; his grandchildren, Joshua Abbott, Heather Abbott (Drew Sink), Ashley Gilbert (Adam), Tanner Heitz, Larkin Walter and Rowen Walter; and his sister Sylvia Raushi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (420 W Downer Pl, Aurora, IL 60506).
