As we bid Gertrude Astrid farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gertrude Astrid is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Pearson and Agnes Pearson (Jacobson); her husband Bernard Gustafson; her daughter Ruth Nyberg; and her son-in-law Jon.
She is survived by: her son Keith Gustafson (Jan) of Aurora; and her grandchildren, Kristin Gonzalez (Ronnie), Karl Gustafson (Cherise), Kirk Gustafson (Alison), Lindsey Nyberg and Brent Nyberg (Jackie). She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
