She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Hoffman and Helen Hoffman (Huber); her husband Alvin Butler; her sister Marilyn Langhart; her granddaughter Andrea Aloisio; and her son-in-law Thomas Thayer.

She is survived by: her children, Paulette Thayer (Michael Hardy), Mary Lou Rehkopf (Craig), Virginia Olson, David Butler (Lynn), Jane Aloisio (Paul), Michael Butler (Donna) and Peggy Olson (Scott). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
