With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Donald Hoover (Aurora, Illinois), born in Iowa City, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Donald left this world on February 9, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though Donald may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Donald touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his friends, Royal Dennis and Ray Novak. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lu Hoover (Kurriger); and his children, Steve Hoover (Janet), Mike Hoover (Cheryl), Barb Hoover (Jim Bazsali), Diane Furlan (Steve), Marty Hoover and Jim Hoover. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Church (620 Fifth St, Aurora, IL 60505).
