Carmen Martinez Obituary

Carmen Martinez, 83, of Aurora, passed away Saturday May 13, 2017 at Presence Mercy Medical Center. She was born in La Purisima Durango, Mexico on December 18, 1933, daughter of Juan and Valentina (Chaidez) Cepeda. She enjoyed working in the garden, sewing, but most of all, enjoyed being with her family; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by 6 daughters, Elva (Honorio) Rocha, Silvia Martinez, Alicia Martinez, Carolina Martinez, Blanca (Audel) Gutierezz, and Reyna (Manuel) Villagrana. 1 son, Ramon Jr. (Sandra Pineira) Martinez, 1 brother, Ramon (Cecilia) Cepeda, 2 sisters, Maria (Gorgonio) Alarcon and Teresa (the late Plutarco) Cano. 24 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.

Carmen is proceded in death by her parents Juan and Valentina Cepeda, her husband Ramon Martinez Sr., 1 brother, Taurino Cepeda, and 2 sisters; Antonia (the late Antonio) Chaidez and Herminia (Alfredo) Chaidez. Family will be receiving guests Tuesday May 16, 2017 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway Montgomery, IL . Funeral Mass Wednesday May 17, 2017, at St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church at 10:00 am.

Interment – Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
