He is survived by: his children, James Nelson (Ann) and Deborah Kainrath (Bryan); his grandchildren, Beth Wessels (Paul), Timothy Nelson, Dan Nelson (Lauren), Ashley Bishop (Bryan), Katie Nelson, Danielle Kainrath and Matthew Kainrath; and his great grandchildren, Lucas Wessels, Josie Nelson, Noah Nelson, Layla Wessels and Elsie Nelson.
A memorial service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Belmont Bible Church (5430 Belmont Rd, Downers Grove, IL 60515).
