With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Russell Lee Cole of Augusta, Illinois, born in Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on September 10, 2023 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Cole and Hazel Marie Ryan Cole; his sister Marsha Cole; his nephew Andy Eliason; and his sister-in-law Vicki Cole.

He is survived by: his children, Robert "Robbie" Cole of Menard, IL, Ronna Cole (James Johnson) of Plymouth, IL, Gretchen Renee Cole (Charles Walker) of Bowen, IL and Christopher "Chris" Cole (Lyndsay) of Colchester, IL; his grandchildren, Desiree Johnson, Jesse Johnson, Johnathon Walker, Garrett Walker, Gunnar Walker, Ashlynn Kelley, Anthony Cole and Aiven Cole; his great grandchild Hayden Johnson; his siblings, William "Bill" Cole III of Canton, MO, Michael "Mike" Cole (Janet) of Camp Point, IL, Robert "Bob" Cole of Camp Point, IL, Sharon Eliason (Craig) of Quincy, IL and Mark Cole (Peggy) of Elvaston, IL; and his close friend Carla Davis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
