It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Szabo of Augusta, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Szabo (Jack) and Beulah Szabo; his sister Sandra; and his pet Lily. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Warden-Petrie; his children, Amber Szabo of Augusta, IL, Ronnie Petrie (Amy) of Springfield, IL and Zach Petrie (Beth) of Lincoln, IL; his grandchildren, Keith, Levi, Gavin, Anthany, Sean, Gage, Abby and Olivia; and his siblings, Dave (Julie), Bill (Juli), Tom, Jackie, Mary (Todd) and Karen (Doug).
