He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. Perkins and Eleanor R. Perkins (Shaw). He is survived by: his children, Jason Scott (Ashley) of Auburn and Kelsie Hogenkamp (Robert) of St. Louis, MO; his grandchildren, Remi, Rory, Ronan Scott and Robert Hogenkamp Jr.; his sister Janet Ankrom (Mick) of Summerville, SC; and his brother-in-law Alan Edwards (Patty) of Adair.

Memorials are suggested to a fund that is being set up for Steve's grandchildren in care of Vicki Perkins or to the First Baptist Church of Virden.
