He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Heggy and Maude Paine Heggy. He is survived by: his wife Fannie Dewey; his daughter Kimberly Heggy; his grandchildren, Kelcie, Shelby, Maddy, Kirstie and Seth; and his great grandchildren, Tru, Kobe, Noah, Rylin, Josiah, Bentley and Brielle.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the New Testament Church of Jesus Christ (604 W Adams St, Auburn, IL 62615). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Camp Butler National Cemetery (5063 Camp Butler Rd, Springfield, IL 62707).
