He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Dowson (Freck) and Lucille Dowson; and his brother Thomas "Ted" Dowson. He is survived by: his wife Linda Wise (Emerson); his children, Melanie Eader (Joe) of Edwardsville, Bobby Dowson (Lisa) of Auburn, Tracy Emerson of Auburn and Cristine Everett (Tim) of Springfield; his siblings, Ron Dowson (Edwina) of Auburn and Martha Sue Boston (Bill) of Roodhouse; and his sister-in-law Mary Sue Dowson of Auburn. He is also survived by six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
