James L. Hurst Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James L. Hurst of Auburn, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on December 18, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Hurst and Cleona Riley Hurst; and his daughter Teresa Colleen. He is survived by: his wife Judith Kay Kaesebier; his children, Dan Joseph Hurst (Gari) of Springfield, Tim Christopher Heren (Becky) of Auburn, Gregory Mitchell Hurst (Ellen) of Mainville, OH, Michael Jon Heren (Beth) of Auburn, Joseph Todd Heren (Carla) of Waverly and Crystal Lynn Arnold (Chris) of Auburn; and his sister Donna Pearson. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
