He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Brown and Edna Grossner Brown; his wife Charlene Brown; his sons, Mike and Irvin "Deano" Brown; and his siblings, Russell, Charles, Bob and Carolyn.

He is survived by: his daughter Sheila Raleigh (Eric); and his brother Tom Brown (Mona). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
