She was predeceased by: her parents, William Carter and Norma Hankins Carter; her former husband Marshall McDonald; and her husband Harry Gahr. She is survived by: her children, Barbara McDonald (Tia Simms), Bill McDonald (Kate) and Marshall "Bunny" McDonald (Helen). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
